Want your kids to be friends with Leonardo da Vinci? Or, Galileo, Marie Curie? Or, a dragon, a computer pad? ‘Leo’s Pad’ allows a kid to learn and do adventurous things, all woven in a story form that makes learning a real fun. The animation and the sound effects are excellent.
The app comes integrated with ‘Parent’s Pad’. This comprehensive tool allows a parent to assess the kids progress and gets hints on how to help the kid become a better learner. The app comes with one installed ‘Appisode’ and previews of few more. The app supports multiple learners.
The installed appisode and the ones we can preview have good content a kid can learn from.
The app has high quality animation, nicely executed voice-over, a friendship based story line and lots of engaging activities. You kids will miss nothing as they engage with this app.
The app has a separate area for grown-ups. This is where parents can buy appisodes, share over Facebook or contact support. What we noticed was that a kid can get a new ‘appisode’ by either buying it or inviting friends from Facebook to use it. The buying part is protected, but the inviting from Facebook is not. Ideally, this too should have been protected activity so a kid does not invite friends from parent’s Facebook account accidentally. Something to consider in next version.
