The app uses picture and voice-over to teach names of various common objects. You take a test where a word is shown/read-out and you have to choose the right picture. A few lessons are free and rest you have to buy.
The game extends the concept of picture charts and makes them multi-media. This is a traditionally well know form of teaching and is still useful. The quantity of lessons is limited and the content finishes off fast.
The pictures make it a fun app to interact.
The app shows ads and there is no way to shut them off. The in-app purchases are focused on lessons. The good thing is that the ads are nicely tucked towards the top, where there is no chance of accidental clicks by a kid. The visuals are nice and can be made slicker. Something the developer’s can consider for the app’s next release.
